On Thursday, November 5, 2015, three TLAMers presented “Sustaining Partnerships: From Red Cliff to Regional Movement” at the Wisconsin Library Association.

Here’s the description:

Carmella Hatch, Student, UW-Madison SLIS; Megann Schmitt, Graduate Student, UW-Madison SLIS; Samantha Link, Graduate Student, UW-Madison SLIS

Hear these UW-Madison SLIS students tell stories of a project seven years (and more to come) in the making: how activist administrators, devoted community organizers and students interested in making a difference have come together to support tribal cultural institutions of the upper Great Lakes. Their milestone in April was helping the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa reopen a community library called Ginanda Gikendaasomin, which translates to ‘We Seek to Learn.’

Thanks to everyone who attended.

And thank you to Carmella, Megann, and Sam for your fantastic presentation.
